Joey 

Born December 12^th, 1997, this bright, funny thirteen-year-old is a young man with lots of interests. In school, Joey likes math, science and gym.  Out of school, he loves video games, chess and all kinds of exercise. Joey feels good about himself; he especially likes that he’s a caring person, athletic and great at telling jokes. Asked what he’d like to be when he grows up, Joey sees lots of possibilities—an NBA player, an actor, a comedian, maybe a creator of video games. Whatever; he wants to be a good role model. Besides his aunt and uncle who have always been there for him, Joey admires his caseworker a lot. “Besides being funny,” he says, “she tells me things I need to hear, but in a way that makes me listen.” With three wishes, Joey would opt for a dirt bike, wisdom, and, most of all, a “forever” family.
