Melanie is a lovely, likeable and outgoing 13-year old who is upbeat and enthusiastic about life. She has a great sense of humor, laughs easily and describes herself as funny, cute, really weird and creative. She’s particularly proud of herself for being emotionally strong. Now in 7^th grade, Melanie prefers English to Math and Science, but says she’s not crazy about any homework. She’d much rather be dancing, making art, playing baseball or cheerleading. She’s also a member of the Color Guard in school.  Like any girl her age, Melanie likes Hip Hop, Hannah Montana, and the movie “Fame.” Asked what she’d like to be when she grows up, Melanie has quite a variety in mind: fire fighter, police officer, doctor or nurse. One day, she hopes to be able to go to Africa to learn the music and the culture. She’d also like to have lots of money one day and a family of loving people (preferably with an older sister and a couple of pets), and, lastly, she hopes to go to heaven.
